阿部 望 Nozomi Abe

b.1978, Tokyo. Ms. Abe started to study piano at the age 3. While Ms. Abe stayed in Mexico City for 3 years, she met Marimba and started to take lessons right after she got back to Japan. Ms. Abe entered to Musashino Academia Musicae in 1997 and finished in 2001. Ms. Abe began to having performances since 1999 after she passed the Audition for Young Players. Ms. Abe moved to United States of America 2001 and entered the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University Master of Music Degree and got Peabody Scholarship. After Ms. Abe passed through the MM, she entered Graduate Performance Diploma Degree in Peabody Institute. Ms. Abe came back to Japan after she got passed through GPD.
Ms. Abe came out as a professional percussionist at the Minato Mirai Hall, Yokohama in 2006.
Ms. Abe has having performances all over the place. Ms. Abe is also giving lessons and rhythmic classes for children.

Brief history

Ms. Abe is working at contemporary music principally and releasing commission music by young composers vigorously. Ms. Abe manages various kinds of recitals such as theatre music recital, simple and strong recital, serious recital, etc on a basis of place and season.
Ms. Abe began to have performances since 1999. The main activity contents are the Duo Recital with Guitar Player in Baltimore City, the televising performances by Baltimore Cable Television, Baltimore Radio Department and Television Kanagawa in Japan and Solo Recital at the Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama.
Ms. Abe studied Marimba and Percussion with Ms. Michiko Takahashi and Mr. Robert Van Sice and studied Piano and Accompaniment Method with Ms. Chitose Koike.

- One of the winner of the Young Music Player Audition promoted by the All Japan Performing Arts Society
